8/10/01: THE BEST DAY EVER
What makes this day SO good? Why can it NEVER be topped? I'm still in awe of the whole experience. I'm out of energy to the max today, as it takes a full-body workout to have this much fun in one day. Lemme break it down for ya now...

  Bills Training Camp - 8:00AM
This wonderful day all started when previously decided the night before that we were going to back to the Bills' Training Camp yet again, and pull an all-day session once again.

After the showers and a little bit of breakfast, I hit the road hoping for a great day. I stopped by, picked up both Ed and Colin (who were pumped as well), got some gas, then headed off to Gardner's.

"*yawn* I could be sleeping right now, ya know". The first words out of his mouth spelled his attitude towards the day in the beginning. I knew it would only be a matter of time before he, too, knew the power that was yet to make a great appearance.

So we headed off to camp, ready for fun and excitement. We played on a lot of the inflatable things like we always did, taking it to the extreme and setting horrible examples for those younger than us. Ooh, the power.

We sat down to watch some practice, which was always fun; kinda like a sneak preview, but not really. After practice ended though, we got our chance to get some sweet autographs as the whole team was supposed to be signing at this point.

Colin was fillin' up his book with auto after auto, where Gardner struggled to fill his ball with everyone's name, and I had a combination of program and football cards.

The gloating and whatnot ensued after the session was over as GW would always stare astonished at Colin saying "aww, you got _________!? " The name never mattered.

After all the training camp was over (overall, not today) we ended up snagging a few good ones, including (but not limited to) Rob Johnson, Ruben Brown, Eric Moulds, Peerless Price, Jay Riemersma, Brian Leigub, Josh Whitman and many other notables. Colin even got Ken Irvins glove. So camp was fun.

Anyway, on that day, after practice, there was nothing to do. SOOO, when that happens, you head to "The Hall of Free Stuff." This is the coolest place on Earth, as it has all kinds of free things, like samples. You can stand at the juice sample thing for a good 5 minutes and keep suckin back grape juice or whatever they have out there. They always have some kind of ice cream out there, as well as crackers and whatnot. And they also have hotdogs, all cut up into little 1-inch pieces.

Then, we saw the thing that changed our day (and perhaps our lives) forever....

THE 98PXY TENT....

The Tide Turns for the EVEN Better... - 1:00PMish The 98PXY set-up place was raffling off tickets to somewhere, and it was CRAWLING with little kids. I almost had to get out my waders so I could walk by. Then we found out what the tickets were for...

AARON'S PARTY!!! --- What the hell!?

Where most people would be turned away by this, for some reason, Ed and Gardner were drawn to it like some beacon. So they each got a raffle ticket, and waited.

Before too long, people were leaving, and leaving their raffle tickets, so Ed snatched those up too. Before too long, he had over 6 raffle tickets. And then it happened.

He won.

2 tickets to Aaron's Party, which included free admission and parking to Darien Lake. At that point, Colin and I got some raffle tickets as well.

I think you know what happened there.

In the long run, I can't remember who won, but I know I did for one of them, and "The Chess Club" eventually won 3 times, giving us 6 tickets.

But we had to stay for the PM autograph session at Bill's camp! Well, this wasn't going to give us a lot of time... Time to think.

So we took our new winnings outside to a table, and pondered our schedule.

After sitting there for what seemed like an hour, we dropped the kids home, went home ourselves, got ready, and tried to persue people to join us for FREE FUN!! How could ANYONE turn away?

"Uhhh...No?" Tom didn't see it as a chance to have fun. We tried and tried, no give. So we asked if Jason would go. "Probably not." Jason was not home at this point, but would be soon.

So the kids tried to get Chris to go. He thought it was rediculous, and wouldn't give it any thought.

GW and I asked Brian if he'd like to go "uhhh...no, I dont' feel like it." Its free Darien Lake!! How can anyone not feel like it?! "Can your sister go?," I asked. "NO, my sister is NOT going." Geez, I thought she might like Darien Lake.
Oh well.

We called Jason's house, he wasn't home yet. "Do you think Jason would want to go to Darien Lake?" "Probably not," his mom said "but I'll tell him you called. He gets home in about 15 minutes."

So we got our stuff together, and waited. Then called. "I dunno..." He sounded unsure. After a little more persuage he buckled, and was ready for action at Darien Lake...FOR FREE!!

When we finally got back on the road, JP was drivin' his new car, and he had a full house. We hit a gas station, got some snacks and drinks, and headed back out. I got JP a Pepsi knowing that I'd have to pay him for gas later anyway, so this was good.

Out in the boondocks, it was all weird. We almost hit some guy on a bike, which would have really ruined the day. About 5 minutes later, a car in the distance drifted over into our oncoming lane and almost collided head-on with another car. It was nuts.

After boring driving and almost 8 o'clock, we finally arrived at Darien Lake.

The trip to Darien Lake and the Aftermath... 7:00PMishSince it was 8 o'clock, it was too late to swim and go on water slides. This was a dry showing, and we only had 2 hours to have fun!!

So the Coaster Crew headed over to The Predator, as Colin sat below, waiting.

We screamed like little girls on there, which was fun, and faked nausea afterwards. Thats always fun too. While we were gone, Colin rode the swings.
*sigh*

After that we headed to The Boomerang (we'd see a lot of this later) which was one of the most fun coasters there. If you haven't seen it, it doesn't appear to be much, as the track is mega-small. In the beginning, you get pulled backwards up the track, then it releases you and you go through all kinds of loops and what not, then you hit another up-slope, which pulls you up, then releases you...backwards.

Then we headed over to this barrel thing and talked to some ghetto kids about Hall & Oates and other great 80s music, as well as songs straight from the Easy Rock CD. Someone threw up on it, so we couldn't go, and wasted a great deal of time there.

More time was wasted when we tried to get on the Mind Eraser, but the line was too long. Then we couldn't find Colin who was getting food somewhere. Time WAS of the essence.

We rode the Viper somewhere in there, which was probably the best one we rode all day. I know we saved the Superman for last, because its so good, but when we finally got there, we weren't allowed in! The line was deemed "too long" with a possible 30 minute wait, and it was already past 9:30.

We hit up the Boomerang some more though, found a chick who MIGHT have wanted me, then rode it again. We rode the Boomerang a good 3-4 times in a row, including when the line was so short I asked if we could ride again, and we could. Then they closed the lines, and they did the ride again. Then they asked if anyone wanted to get off. I think maybe 1 person raised their hand. But we stayed on for another ride. It was great.

Then we headed over to the Laser Light show. I bought some of the glasses for JP, subtracting from my total fee, which was another good thing.

The show was pretty good. We kept singing all the songs and changing lyrics, like on that James Brown song:

All: So good! So good!
Rob: I beat my wife!
*people around us laugh*
All: So good! So good!
Ed: I've got wood!
*people around us laugh*

"Sooo good" if you ask me. They were eating up all of our stuff. I could have stayed there all night changing stuff and entertaining people. I think Ed would have too.

And then the show ended. The real world was back.

Time to go home...

So we did. We ran into some hot chicks on the way out who "wanted Aaron's candy." We jawed for a little bit, then I said "thats it, I'm leaving. Who wants to touch my ass?" I was kicked at that point, so I kept walking.

We kept driving, with nothing of note except for the constant singage which was the "Aaron's Party" theme. It was nuts.

We got close to home, and close to Saturday. It was about 11:52 when we hit Ridge Road. A red convertible pulled up near us.

"Aww man, its 2 guys and a prostitute."
"Oh man! Its a guy and 2 prostitutes!"
"Oh man!! Its just 3 chicks!!"

The conversation was somewhat like that.
Noticing their hotness, and the level of their intoxication, I immediately thought of one thing..

Road Boobs.

So yelling at Ed and GW to say something to them, and get their attention, I think Ed let out a "WOO!" as we went by, but they let a big "WOO!" back! NO ONE EVER "WOO!"s back! So Jason let up, or sped up, I can't recall, and we got next to them.

Then it happened! ROAD BOOBS! She totally flashed us in what was the best moment of the day. And it was 11:54! Officially still the same day!!

After Road Boobs, Jason ranked the day a 9.8, I believe.

I ranked it that as well. This story doesn't do the day justice, as it was just so good. I can rattle off a better story in person. There is no emotion within this page. Its all about the emotion baby.

That day was real. Free from the madness of everyday life. Free from the hassles of life itself. This was our day. The best day ever.

And its all thanks to a little blond kid who hasn't even hit puberty yet.

Unbelieveable.
